My htc touch diamond shows the current messages on home screen, i want to turn it off, how can i do that.

It's a data usage message. Going over your data. Or a failed download or message etc. Pull down notification bar by touching the top of the screen and pulling down. Should show up on the screen why there's a triangle.

I don't know if this is the same problem I had, but I think it is. I dropped my HTC Touch Diamond (standard version) yesterday and when I turned it on the screen didn't show anything.

I took it apart and found out the problem was caused by loose connectors between the main-board and the lcm- and navi-board.

Looks like you should try to Hard Reset it.

This is done by having your HTC Diamond turned off first.

Then, hold the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons at the same time and briefly press the POWER BUTTON.

Now keep holding down the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons until you see a screen

At soon as you see this screen, you should release the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons.
Now press the VOLUME UP button to complete the hard reset. Now this will completely format your HTC Touch Diamond as if it was turned on for the first time from the box. Everything once previously on the phone will be deleted including messages, contacts, music and the like. Hope I have been of assistance to you, Cheers :)

Unfortunately the gyro in the HTC diamond only operates in certain programs like opera mobile internet browser, when viewing pictures in album, and the game teeter. The keyboard would be bigger if it could be rotated using the gyro but HTC did not program it to do this. There are some free program you can download that will allow you to do this but they also rotate everything else every time you tilt the phone.

you can try to recalibrate the touch screen to see if that works,
Start> settings> display> calibrate
* since screen is not working you will have to go the long away and use buttons on phone and nav wheel to get to these options

Try sweeping your thumb upwards on the clock this should drop the larger boxes back and bring up a smaller clock. It worked on my HTC Touch Diamond hope it helps

Disable the SMS "message sent" popup

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox
create a new key "Settings"
create a new string value "SMSNoSentMsg" and set the value to 1
Thats it your done just give it two minutes and do not reset the phone after finishing

in that case... remeber to set your phone into an automatic time and date update. You can find it on the settings menu and there goes.. its done.

May be this is because of using older ROM's i.e firmware..

Goto HTC site and find the updated ROM for ur device..

Current version of ROM's may have fix for ur problems...

Take backup of ur data before updating the firmware....

I have an HTC Touch Diamond. It started giving me problems with my screen was offset. I had to hit the 4 to get the 1 and couln't hit my keyboard button. It was like my whole screen was lowered. Now the whole touch screen won't work. I still can the enter, home, back and answering buttons. I reset it once and it went to the align screen, it was working off and on for about 30 mins and now back frozen. Help
