SOURCE: drain iced up in freezer

the draining pipe is block with something, you can melt the ice with a hear drier or hot water, then put a wire true the pipe and after that, test the pipe again.

Frigidaire FFHS2311LWD has water pooling up and freezing bottom drawer and lower vent. Drain tube doesn't seem to be clogged. Water leaks onto floor some days.

the drain tube is most likely clogged. if the lower vent is freezing up there is no way to confirm because it is covered with ice. the reason water leaks onto the floor is, the refrigerator goes into defrost, frost melts and runs down the ice to the door. use a hair dryer to remove all ice, then use hot water to check drain. drain tube may be up to a foot long and may have a trap. you may have to go in through the back to gain access to the drain

I have a Kenmore Model # 253.62812202 refrigerator. It collects water at the bottom of the vegee and fruit trays at the bottom of the refrigerator which eventually leaks out onto the kitchen floor. Does...

It has a clogged drain tube and bottom trays is already full.
De-clogged it using a solid wire, match enough to penetrate the drain tube.
Insert solid wire slowly to the drain tube, back and forth.
Put water to clean and rinse drain tube.
Regularly check drain tube for clogged and tray for full water.
Good luck.

Ice keeps forming on the bottom of the freezer - like a leak on the back side flows into the bottom toward the door.

When a refrigerator leaks water like yours, it is common for the problem to be nothing more than a clogged defrost drain. When the unit defrosts itself, the frost melt water drips into a pan underneath the evaporator in the freezer, and goes through a tube from there to the bottom outside of the unit. Since the water cant go down this drain, it backs up on the freezer floor, then eventually the kitchen floor.

Kenmore side by side water leaking from freezer

You can buy a kit from whirlpool. In the kit is a metal tab that mounts onto the defrost heater. It is long enough to go into the hole. When the heater comes on for defrost the heat transfers down to the hole and keeps it from getting plugged up with ice. Part number 819043

Water pools at bottom of freezer, freezes and water leaks out

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove bottom shelf from fridge and remove the styrofoam..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. Ice accumulation at bottom of freezer

Hi, Remove the rear inside panel of the freezer and locate the drain hole under the evaporator coils.
Use a hair dryer and melt the ice. Make sure and get the ice out of the drain hole as well.
After the ice is removed, be sure and flush the drain hole with hot water. A baisting surenge works great for the flush.
I hope this helps you. If I can assist you further, please let me know.
