I have a D-Link Dir-835 and it doesn't connect to the Internet, i have tried nearly everything but it still tells me that my cable is not plugged in and when i try it with my modem only i can connect to the Internet additional info: it has only the green power light on but the other Internet one is orange
When you change the device, you usually need to contact your ISP and they will make the change.

the first 4 lights should be gree then the fith orange and should be flickereing on and off fast the last one should be doing nothing

have you tried doing the master reset on the zyxel modem? they usually have that at the back.
after resetting, configure the modem and try to go into the routers ip adress to check if there is connection.

it could be a problem with your internet connectivity. check with the isp.

If you connect the computer directly to the modem , it shopuld work.
If your computer is online when connected only to the modem then the problem must be router settings .

I have had multiple problems with these routers. They tend to drop signals or have other issues that are hard to explain in a few short sentences.
After you rebooted did you open your browser and type in the IP address to connect to the router software?

Thanks everyone for your time, seems like its fixed, now i need to set it up but has a problem and it says "New D-Link router does not appear to be connected properly"
