I found that once I had posted my question I was able to get into the on-line manual, once you move all the way though the pages (it won't let you jump to the end and work backwards) the solution was right there.

Why am i getting the error message * memory rx 2P Recording Paper Jam? I can t find a jam anywhere?

Delete the fax and check paper tray rollers are cleaned. May be missing feeding which mean roller can't grab the paper and machine is expecting the paper to be at a certain point and does not see (Though sensors though out the paper route thru the machine so it thinks there is a paper jam) Also mite want o clear the memory (SRAM/DRAM) will lose one touches so make sure you have list backup

I can't erase the faxes I already send

Hi There,

While not as popular as they were before the Internet became a principal means of business communication, fax machines are still an essential item in many offices. They are particularly useful on business documents when a signature is needed. Canon makes a number of fax machines that use both ink-jet and laser technology to receive and print documents. Most fax machines store incoming faxes in memory so you can reprint them, but occasionally the memory becomes full resulting in an error message. Your Canon fax machine's memory can be cleared quickly and easily so you can start using it again.

Instructions

* Click the "Menu" button.

* Press the arrow buttons to scroll through the options on the screen. Select
"MEMORY REFERENCE" and click "Start/Copy."

* Use the arrow buttons to choose "DEL. PRINTED RX" then click "Start" again.

Press "*" to select the "Yes" option from the screen. This will delete all documents from the fax machine's memory.

* Click "Stop" to finish.

Our Konica Minolta BIZ HUB C10 message in window is MEM.RX. Can you explain what this means. Thanks

In the Fax/E-mail - Fax Configuration - Reception Operation page, set-
tings for receiving faxes can be specified.Memory RX Mode:
Select whether to allow ("On") memory reception or not
("Off"). In cases when confidential faxes are being
received, the received document can be stored in the
memory and printed at a specified time or when memory
reception is set to "Off". A password can be set to spec-
ify the starting time or ending time of memory reception,
or to cancel the function. The set starting time and end-
ing time are valid every day until memory reception is
turned off.
Choices: On, Off
Default: Off
Configuration Menu Equivalent:
RX SETTING - MEMORY RX MODE

FAX RX IN MEMORY AND FAX TONER EMPTY ERRORS AND I CANT RECEIVE MY FAXES BUT I CAN SEND IT...PLZ HELP

It sounds like your toner has ran out, so you cant print any more faxes out, the memory saving the unprinted faxes has filled up and cant save any more messages.
Replace the toner and let the machine print out the saved faxes. You should then be back to normal

On my Canon MX310, the display says "Waiting for Report". Fax Memory is clear, but the In Use/Memory light stays on.

Try this step ... found it on Canon's website

Issue: ERROR LCD: WAITING FOR REPORT
Solution: Set [AUTO PRINT RX] to ON (MX300 / MX310)

AUTO PRINT RX When [AUTO PRINT RX] is set to [OFF], incoming received faxes will be temporarily stored to memory and transaction reports (TX, RX and Activity) remain in memory. The default setting is [ON], which means incoming received faxes and transaction reports will automatically print. The fax machine will not automatically print a received fax and will store it in memory in the following conditions.
  • Ink is low or has run out
  • The paper size and type is not set correctly
  • Paper has run out
  • The Output Tray is closed
To set AUTO PRINT to ON, please follow these steps.
  1. Press the <FAX> button to enter the Fax menu.

  2. Press the <Menu> button. [FAX SETTINGS] is displayed

  3. Press the left or right arrow button to select [RX SETTINGS] , then press <OK> two times.

  4. Press the left arrow to select [ON], then press <OK>.

Note: When AUTO PRINT RX is set ON, a sub-menu will appear to PRINT WHEN NO INK.

  5. At sub-menu PRINT WHEN NO INK, decide if you'd like the machine to continue to print incoming received faxes if ink is low.

CAUTION: When this option is set ON, the fax machine will not monitor the ink level of the ink cartridges. If ink is low or out, received faxes will print with streaks or blank. Furthermore, once the fax is printed, it will be deleted from memory.
    1. To print received faxes when ink is low or out, press the left or right arrow to select [ON] and then press <OK>.
    2. To store received faxes in memory when ink is low or out, press the left or right arrow to select [OFF] and then press <OK>.

  6. Press the <Stop/Reset> repeatedly to return to Fax standby mode.

I am still unable to receive faxes that are printed automatically when they arrive. they mst be going to memory and i cannot get them to print out of memory. can yo please help me. i paid for this service...

If you are getting a low ink message no you will not be able to fax until this is resolved. Once you replace the ink cart. then you can get to the steps where you can clear the fax memory until then the steps that we would give you will not work.

You can visit www.canon.com click on your printer model then on support and you can download the manual in this manual there will be step by step instructions on how to clear the memory on the fax. this can also be cleard once you print them keep that in mind. so first purchse ink then your going to print your faxes by hitting that button twice the reason why it will not work now is because your low on ink.

If you like this solution please hit accept.

Thanks
