Car was parked backwards in garage, on slight tilt, while alarm armed- this made alarm system think someone was trying to steal car or tires, etc- now car wont start and battery is dead- I need to reset anti-theft alarm system- but my key transmitter is the new type that key is inside the box key- My system cannot use the old type with 1 & 2 positions- I can open the door and trunk with key inside box-but car wont turn on. you should not have a problem with this as the key is located in the remote and the alerm will sound but as soon as you put the key in the ignition the vehicle cancell the alarm[sword key in the remote

try locking and unlocking the car with the key 3 times slowly ,other than that i have no idea ?? another trick is to disconnect battery and join the cables together for a few minutes to discharge any capacitors that may be holding a charge in the computer..Only other thing i can think of is the main dealers who have the right connectors and software to re set it all .sorry i havent been of any help

that may be the immobiliser kicking in. If you have an led does it flash a code at you ie 2 flashes, short pause, 2 flashes etc ? This sequence indicates a hood or boot switch normaly.

unplug the battery, leave for a while to discharge the system. Put keys in ignition and turn to first position then reconnect battery. Hopefully then, you will have reset the alarm or at least be able to re sync it.
