I know it is probably pointless asking this, as I have been thinking about this for over a month and am stumped, but maybe someone can help, so here goes.
I recently got FIOS, with an HD DVR. The STB is a Motorola QIP 6416-2. The Coax from the FIOS router goes into the RF in coax connector. Component cables run from the STB to my HDTV, providing picture. Audio (red/white) cables run from the STB to the TV for sound. My VCR and DVD player are hooked into seperate AV imputs (red/white/yellow) on the tv, so that if I change imputs, I can WATCH tapes on the VCR, or DVDs.
However, what I am missing is the opportunity to record onto my VCR movies and shows that I want to KEEP, instead of just recording to the DVR. There is no RF OUT jack on the STB to run to the VCR, and the AV OUT jacks run to the TV for sound, so I cant use a AV cable to run from the video out to the video in on the VCR.
I know this sounds horribly complicated, and I'm probably overexplaining it and confusing everyone, but I'm hoping SOMEONE will have had the same problem and recoment a workaround.
Thank you.

The STB has a coax, but that runs to the router as well. For the VCR, I have to use A/V cables. Any ideas?
Actually, sorry, was thinking of a different question. I actually found a workaround for this one, split the video cable off an AV cable, ran the audio part from my to to the AV in on the VCR and the video part from a video out on the STB. Took a while, but it works now. Thanks.
