CE-02 error code when scanning on SHARP MX-M550U copier
I'm getting a CE-02 error message when I'm trying to scan a documnet to my e-mail. I have scanned to my e-mail in the past and scanning to my desktop is no problem? Can you help out.

Network Error CE-02 - this is where the machine cannot communicate with the SMTP Gateway / Mail Server for scanning. Check that you have a connection with the network and that you have the correct SMTP I.P address.
If you are using a host name for the mail server make sure that you have configured the DNS entries correctly.
You didn't tell me enough about the problem. Are you trying to scan from a PC or to a PC? The problem is that the network address changed when you moved the printer. You can fix this by correcting the network address
Ah, the dreaded CE-00 and CE-02. This is a networking problem!!
It means the IP address stored in the copier for the computer you're trying to scan to is old and stale!!! That workstation got its IP refreshed by DHCP and your copier has been left in the dust!
To refresh the workstation's scan profile information in the copier either:
1) Reboot the workstation, or
2) Find the Network Scanner Tool icon in your tray, right-click on it, find Automatic Profile Update, and click on Update Now.
Also check the webpage and make sure that if you're using DNS for name resolution that you have the correct and working DNS IP's!!
1) Check that the Network Cable is inserted properly. 2) Check that the connected network supports TCP/IP protocol. 3) Check from the Web Page that the Primary/Secondary E-mail Server Address or the Destination FTP server/ Desktop PC address are properly set. 4) If the above address is described with Hostname, check that the DNS server is properly set. 5) Check that the SMTP server/FTP server/NST causes a trouble or not.
Have you setup your smtp address on the machine? From any workstation in the same network open your web browser. Key in the IP address of the mfp copier. Goes to network setup and key-in your smtp address.
