I want to be able to transfer files from my phone to my pc but I am not able to do so. I can't install the pc suite too on my pc. My pc uses windows vista basic. Please, help!

have you tryed the LG website?

try these drivers www.pcleeds.com/drivers.html install the drivers then remove the cable from your phone goto settings connectivity and set you phone from data suite to mass storage then plug your usb back in the phone should now be found as a mass storage device

please install the pc suite which contains the drivers.

Take the CD and put it in another computer that can read it and copy the contents to a USB stick, then u can take it and install it into your PC.. thats what i did.... OR you can download it from http://uk.lgmobile.com/web/web.mypage.RetrieveMyPhoneList.laf

In the menu of the phone, select Phone Setting, then Connectivity, then you will be able to see "USB connection mode" menu. If you select "Mass storage" in this menu, your phone will react as a normal USB key drive on your system.
It worked for my XP, or Ubuntu machine.

Otherwise, if you select "Data service" in the USB connection mode, you need LG PCsuite software installed to be able to communicate with it. This PCsuite is downloadable in LG web site.
