I have an Oster 6854 14-speed blender. After a long story that I will make short, I found that the fuse was blown. I took it out, put it to the side and now I cannot find it. Do you know what size and/or type of fuse this blender takes so I can attempt to buy another one? Also, if you could please tell me a place where I can buy one, I would greatly appreciate it. My blender has been sitting for almost a year unused. Please help!
BEFORE DISCARDING OR RUSHING OUT TO PURCHASE A NEW BLENDER CHECK THE FUSE FIRST. THE 6800 SERIES BLENDERS USE A GMA 5A 125V FUSE. YOU CAN PURCHASE THESE AT YOUR LOCAL HARDWARE STORE FOR APPROXIMATELY $1.50 EACH. SIMPLY REMOVE THE BASE FROM THE UNIT, REMOVE THE FUSE AND REPLACE WITH A NEW ONE. REASSEMBLE AND TEST. I REPAIRED MINE TODAY IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES. WORKS GREAT. GOOD LUCK.
There are no service manuals available for this model. If you can figure out what fuse it takes, Radio Shack most likely has them. What are the specifics?
volts
amps
watts
It can be figure with the electrical information. You will still have to get the right physical size though.

I found the following information regarding Oster blender built in fuses:
(Quote) The built in fuse protection has kicked in. To turn the blender back on, first turn the control knob to "Off" and unplug the unit from the wall. Then remove the jar from the base and free the blade of any obstructions. Next, press the external resettable fuse button on the bottom of the base. Wait 30-45 minutes for the unit to cool.

Question: My blender shut off during use. What happened?
unplug it.... use a small plastic screw driver or even a metal one if you are careful... pry gently up on one side of the fuse... it should pop out of the holder. when it does... use your fingers to grab the end and pull up. the fuse is replaced by placing it back into the holder and pushing down until each end pops back into the holder
