Does anyone know how to set up the ringtones and message tones so that you can hear them? I have tried so many things, but can't fix the problem.... And I'm just using the tones which came with the phone.

Go to Profiles, and choose a Customized Profile. Rename it to whatever you prefer. In this profile you can select your ring tone, message tone, volume, etc. I only had to do this once, and everything worked perfectly!

Had the same problem. After 2 handsets and hours of trying various things, I came up with this. When you transfer music files to the fone, use LG Suite and make sure you convert them to Mp3 files. Wma files or others seem to lock the ringtone/message alert to volume setting 1. Mp3's work fine. Hope that helps.

Cheers Brash!!!!

You have to go to the first menu (that little blue box on the bottom right of desktop screen), then click on the cog at the bottom right and choose profiles. In there you can customise ringtone volume etc.

I think there's no such possibility to increase only text message sound. However you can turn up the incoming call AND sms sound by clicking arrow buttons on the left side of the phone or by edditing a profile.

If you use the bottons on the left hand side of the phone, they can turn up the volume. Alternatively if you go into profile and choose the profile you wish to use, there is a volume setting in this. Make sure you press save once you have changed the setting.

If you want to use your own sounds that you upload to the mobile, you can make the ring tone mp3 you want to use less loud than the message tone mp3, if you have a sound editing program. I did this and the levels between the ring and message tones are comfortably even.

Why is my LG neon 2 (LG GT36) so quiet when i get texts? Can i make it louder?

Yes you can. The default tone for text messages is pretty quiet to begin with, so first check the volume for your texts messages. Go to "Menu" > "Settings" > "Audio & Ringtones" > "Message Tone" > "Volume" and adjust it how you want it. If it's still pretty quiet, you might want to change the message tone altogether, which is the same process as above except go to "Sounds" instead of "Volume" and pick a louder one. Hope this helps you, if you still have questions about it I'll be glad to help :)

On the LG KP500 can you get a text alert of an appointment?

Set your appointment through your calendar. It will indicate when you wished to be notified and how long you want to be notified. If your worried about the sound of the alert when you receive your appointment notification, then change the default sound within your settings.

Text alert volume has reduced and I can't turn it up

you should be able to fix it by maybe muting your phone, turning your phone off then back on and then raising the volume. or maybe change your tone and do that.
