How to thread a juki cp 180

I am surprised that I couldn't find threading directions in the manuals that I found. It appears to me that you can thread it the same way that you would thread a Juki DDL 555 or DDL 8700. Manuals on Line have several manuals but I couldn't find threading directions in them. Weird. Most sewing machines thread similarly whether they are home or industrial machines. Once in a while there will be an odd one. Sergers, etc are another matter but sewing machines are generally alike in their threading.

3.wrong size needle for the fabric
4.the wrong foot is attached
5.the needle clamp screw is loose
6. Top tension is too tight
7. Machine could be out of time

The needle thread breaks

1. the needle thread is not threaded properly

2. The needle thread tension is to tight

3. The needle is bent or blunt

4. The needle is incorrectly inserted

5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew

I have a Juki DDL 227. Top thread keeps breaking instantly

Well, you've not checked "Everything" but you have checked the common things.

Do you have any idea of where it is actually breaking? Re-thread your machine and see if you can determine exactly where the break occurs.

Sometimes a damaged needle throat plate will break threads... as will a burr on the hook in the bobbin area. Also if there is a burr or rough spot on the thread spool it will sometimes catch and cause breakage.

Good luck

Hi, I have a Juki ddl 552 that does not have te stich setting nob. I am wondring how can I change my stich seting? please help.

Here is a threading diagram for this industrial machine
http://www.sewusa.com/Threading_Diagrams/Threading_Pages/Juki_Sewing_machine_threading/Juki_552_553_555_227_Threading_Diagram.htm

You can also buy a manual here
http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Juki_Manuals/Juki_Industrial_Sewing_Machine_Manuals/227-552-553-555_Instruction_Manual.htm for this model.

I would have thought there would be some sort of screw or adjustment to control stitch length but I can't find an image for your model.
However this image might help, http://www.johnharbsew.com/images/threading/JUKI-DNU-241-TD.jpg, my Singer 20U, has a dial like this with numbers on that you adjust for length, is there something similar on the Juki?

Hello, I have a juki DDL 5550, runs great, But the tension is off. Top thread bunches up on bottom side of fabric ( bobbin thread looks ok)\r\nThanks,S

Soulds like your not geting the top thread all the way in the tension disk. Make sure you have the presser foot up when you thread the machine. also after you get it treaded check to make sure you have tension, with the presser foot up you should have not tension and with it down it should be very hard to pull.
hope this helps
