IN Creative Sbs 5.1 560 ONLY 2.1 SPEAKERS ARE WORKING ON VISTA

Have you check to see if you have the correct driver for the sound card. I know for fact that when reload some mother board that have a build in sound card that carries AC97 drivers it will install or download the AC97 driver with no problem,and no error and it will not work because the driver needs to be upgrade. You might need to get a new sound card. simple and done. Or go through the trouble to find the correct AC97 driver.

generally this is due to ground problem, signal gnd and power gnd need to be separate (i faced the same problem even i dint do anything from hardware side .. don ask me hw it happned).. open the volume controller u will find a small PCB (printed circuit board) with volume control ,LED and a connector. see at the back side of the voume control u will see five pins starting from right side short 1st and fourth pin. provided you connect ground of both cables which goes inside the volume controller.. it works for me.. you may experiment as i did...

u can download them from www.creative.com or search in google for creative speakers. then click the first link and in that go to supprt and drivers , in that choose ur model.
