Doro 830R phone- how to reset answering message to default?

I have a Doro 830R phone answering machine which came supplied with a pre-recorded message. I accidentally erased and I since I'm one of those people that hates the sound of their own voice I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a way to get it back again or reset the phone to factory defaults?

Hi,
Well, I'm sorry to say that I've spent the last hour trying to find a way for you to reset this to factory & it looks like you can not. I had a hard time believing that (which is why it became an obsession) but, I think you're going to have to ask a neighbor to record a message for you. Actually, that sounds like fun :-)
Good luck.

Bought second hand i how do I change the answer phone message to mine?

Hello. I have located the owner manual for your phone and I will provide the link at the end of this response. If all you wish to do is change the outgoing message to your own, do the following:

The OGM is your announcement to the caller and may be up to 2 minute in length. If
you choose not to record your own OGM, the caller will hear a prerecorded OGM. Use
your OGM to advise the caller to begin talking after a beep is heard. For example:
“Hello, we are unable to take your call right now, please leave a message after the beep,
and we’ll return your call as soon as possible. Thank you for calling.”
Recording your OGM
1. Press .
2. The total number of (new) recorded ICM’s will now be announced.
3. Press 8 to stop playback.
4. Press 4 5.
5. Record your OGM.
6. Press 8 to stop recording.
7. Your OGM will be repeated after a few seconds. Repeat the same procedure if
you wish to change the OGM. Any old OGM will automatically be erased when
a new one is recorded.

Phone diverts to machine after just 3rings

Hi, Here's the instructions to change # of rings. You will see that in instructions below, numer 1 says press w, actually what you press is not a w, it looks like three lines. I will also give you a link for the manual as it has good photos on page 23.

http://safemanuals.com/brand-user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/DORO

Scroll down to the box that says, select model number, then scroll to 830R. You will have to enter the 4 numbers into the page before downloading but it's easy.
Good luck. If this helps you plz rate it 'fixya' for me. Thank you kindly.

The pre recorded message on the answering machine has been lost.

I read thru the manual. There is nothing bout recovery of factory messages. If you recorded your own, try deleting it. Or unplug the base from power and try a reset. This is from the manual. At the end, I gave you a link to the manual!

Using a pre-recorded greeting
message
If you erase or do not record your own
greeting message, the unit plays a prerecorded
greeting message for callers
and asks them to leave messages. If the
message recording time (page 39) is set
to “Greeting only”, caller messages
are not recorded and the unit plays a
different pre-recorded greeting message
asking callers to call again.
