Baumatic BTWM6 washing machine flashing F02 error

My washing machine is flashing an F02 error code.   The washing is in it and looks as though it has been spun but the door is still locked and I can't open it.  I live in a rental property and there is no manual for the machine. Help gratefully received. Thanks. Helen

    Thanks for this response, I had the same codes and did as instructed (boy it smelt and there was lots of water !!), result as it was rammed with fluff, about to start it again so should be sorted !! Thanks again

Hi, you need to empty the filter, ours does the same all too often. The filter is located bottom right of the machine at floor level, which is rather daft for an integrated applicance; we have to remove a whole length of plinth to empty ours. Be warned, a lot of gunge and water will come out so have towels at the ready, especially if you have a laminated floor. Turn the white slot with a a 10p piece......and empty. Not the most pleasant of jobs, but effective. Good luck!

Thanks for this tip, really easy to do once you know where to look.
Tip: use a plastic bag to collect the water. You might have to fill and empty a few times before you are clear, but don't remove the plug all the way, let it out just enough to let the water spill into the bag laying on the floor.

Machine stops during the spin, especially with heavier loads.
Maybe you overload your washing machine. Minimize your washing machine usage to avoid stopping during the spin.

It doesn't finish the cycle and stops and flashes F02
Possible that the drain cycle is not active and so the program trips off. Check the drain for clogging , check the power to the drain from the controller during the cycle, if there is no power the program controller is faulty.

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

you can press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

you might want to check..

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem most probably you will have to replace the pump

Perhaps you need to check the outlet hose from the pump for a blockage, and of course, make sure the pump itself is working.

Does not work flashes error code f02
If this is a Kenmore or Whirlpool model, an "F02" error code indicates a "Long Drain" problem. This means you need to inspect your drain line and or pump to ensure there is nothing obstructing the drain. Can you please post back to confirm correct Manufacturer and Model number?
