Older heater but has worked great and just started making a buzzing or beeping noise every 15 minutes or so
Probably the thermostat contacts have become worn and a certain amount of arcing is happening when they close.
Replacement thermostat units used to be easy to change and were readily available for quality domestically manufactured oil filled radiators but these days it would probably be cheaper to buy an imported heater. You wouldn't lose by asking your local supplier and if they are still available check the internet price.
It would be wise to check the wiring and internal connections before junking it.

I have had a couple of different brands of column heaters and they have all made that clicking sound when turned off. Once the 'cooling down' time of the heater is finished..so do the 'clicks'.

I have no solution. I attempted to repair the noise problem using a post that described how we should by-pass the buzzer. NO GOOD! I am trying to live with this piece of noisy ___p!!!! let me know if you find a correct solution. thanks, jim

yeah they do that, time for a good cleaning, if that fails, I'd replace with a ceramic heater... they are cheaper safer and cost less to operate.

my unit does it also and repair tech refuses to attempt to work on it any further
