Have a Sherwood RX4030R AM/FM receiver. Was working fine but suddenly stopped recognizing any channels on either FM or AM. All I get is a lot of static. It scans all frequency ranges but is not tuning in to any stations. As I said nothing changed from when it was tuning in to when it stopped - checked all aerial connections, unplugged and replugged everything. CD and turntable working fine. I'm guessing an integrated circuit (IC301??) failure rather than capacitors. What do others think.

HI,
I'll let you know if there is a factory reset button button for this model.
SOURCE: I have a Sherwood RX-2030R,
Check Sherwood RX-2030R specification of AM tuning frequencies limits in user manual.
Please confirm was it tune before below 1320 and above 1710 AM meter band?
SOURCE: technics turntable plays but no sound with Sherwood receiver
The problem is the fact that the new receiver has no phono input. The phono input has an extra stage of amplification built in. Your receiver is working fine. You need to purchase a phono pre-amp. These run around $20. Connect the turntable to the preamp and the presmp output to any line level input on your new receiver and everything will work as expected.
