How do I switch from the green keys to my regular keys?

Well There must be a switch on it. If You are pretty sure about this that its not there.
Than you can do one thing Look on the keyboard and observe the keys carefully you will find an icon on the keyboard look like an antena symbol look below:
Or Somewhat change on this icon. The default key on most keyboards is F2 or sometimes you need to hold down the Fn Key and they press the F2 Key

The green key used by enabled function key......

go to the laptop's control panel and to the keyboard setup.

hold down shift key then press. or, might be a function (fn) key. u didnt state if it was a regular keyboard or a laptop.

sounds like those are your funtion keys on the lower left of your keyboard press the ftn key and try it then they should work there is alot of different things they are used for

You must hold down the fn key, usually in the lower left corner of the keyboard, while simultaneously hitting the key with the symbol you wish to use.

it sounds like you have turned on either your language bar settings and sometimes switch to another language, there is a function key you are hitting causing the keys to lock on that setting

Are the green symbols the alpha/numeric keys? If so, you have to push the num lock key.

Press the Symbol key on the keyboard. It works just like the Num Lk key.
