Did you get a memory card for the phone and insert it?
Http://www.lgmobilephones.com/ go to resources down load usb cable driver to your computer this should help you be able to download pix, flix and your music... at least it helped me with mine :)
Here's one way.
Buy a memory card that'll fit your phone. Probably a Micro SD card. Now buy an adapter so that it'll fit a USB insert. See nore info below.
Plug that adaprter into computer.
Copy and/or move the music to the memory card.
Pull card out and insert card into phone.
The music will play off that card and not even use your phone memory, plus it'll hold a LOT more music.
You can find memory cards cheap on sale like at Best Buy, Office Depot, etc, and they usually come with at least an adapter to make it the same size as the regular SD card. Then just buy the SD to USB adapter and you're hooked up.
Good luck and let us know how it works!
Syncing a phone is OK, but it's problematic and this route is much easier.
The best thing to do is manually. Put your memory card into your PC. Go to start-my computer- and find the card. Open it in a smaller window, open your PC music folder in a smaller window & drag & drop onto the card.
The LG enV2 does not support synchronization of music between your PC and the phone so this is the best way. Using the USB would mean finding a software program that is agreeable to the enV2 & I haven't found that yet.
Good luck, if you need more help leave a comment & I'll be glad to help more.
If this is helpful to you plz rate it 'fixya'. Thank you kindly.

I understand, I've been there but before you fling it out the window, give me a sec to check something, BYB.
OK, just read your manual. If you dropped them onto your SD card insert it back in phone. Now you will have to navigate to your SD card on your phone using the 'menu'. When you get to the SD card you will see the music you dropped there. Now just copy it to you internal (phone). I'll read your manual some more in case you need more details on this, just let me know- And, take a deep breath :-)

Its easy just insert memory card in the phone and choose the option format.
formatting the memory card via phone will creat system folders in The SD also files where u can put specific categories such as MP Music.
Enjoy
Welcome to Fixya! This works on My LG Vu UC920, Try it on yours. On the Bottom Left of the Start Screen, See if you have the 4 Circles Button or just go to the Settings Menu, Go down to the Bottom of the Options and sress the Gear Icon, Click on More, Click on Connection, Then Click on USB Connection and Enable. Then go back to WMP and try your Songs again, This is how I got Mine on. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
Hope you are doing it the right way :
Going into the Settings & Tools menu, there is an option for USB Auto Detection with three options: Sync Music, Sync Data, and Ask on Plug. When selecting “Ask on Plug”, each time your PC is connected to the enV2, the screen will ask if you want to sync music or data. If you select “Sync Music” the phone shows up on your PC as an external music device, where you can copy music files directly to the phone’s internal memory and microSD card. However, if you select “Sync Data”, then go to Tools and USB Mass Storage, the microSD card is shown as a Removable Storage device, where you can copy pictures, videos and music files.

YOU WILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE DRIVER OF YOUR DEVICE FOR THEM TO SYNC.
YOU CAN FIND A FREE DRIVER ONLINE.
YOU OTHER OPTION WOULD BE TO OPEN YOUR MUSIC FOLDER, THEN GO TO START MENU, MY COMPUTER, then you should see the drive containing your device.
NOW YOU CAN DRAG AND DROP YOUR SONGS RIGHT INTO THE DRIVE FOLDER THAT YOUR DEVICE IS ON AND IT WILL DOWNLOAD AUTOMATICALLY

If you have a memory card for the phone Just connect the phone to the
PC using the USB cable and the phone will be detected as a mass storage
device and will be listed as a "Removeable Disk" in my computer after
that just browse the phone and the stuff to their respective folder.
YOU MAY ALSO USE A PROGRAM CALLED bitmpim from bitpim.org OR v-cast WHICH IS FOR VERIZON PHONES.
you should have no problem once installing the device driver or by drag and dropping your files into the device drive folder
try this bitpim program:
Download
Oh yea, before trying. Do you have media players 11?
If not you can download it here:
you will have alot of luck with verizon's v-cast.
to download the program, go to verizon website and download it. It works with many different phones and includes rhapsody as well. You can also transfer, video, music, picstures, ringtones, and more
the card already has to be in the phone when you drag and drop your music files
WITH YOUR DEVICE PLUGGED IN, GO TO START MENU, THEN MY COMPUTER, THEN YOU WILL SEE A DRIVE WITH YOUR PHONE THERE. DRAG AND DROP FILES INTO THIS FOLDER TO GET ON YOUR PHONE.
You may also use a download a program called bitpim from bitpim.org or free v-cast software download from verizon.com

Hi do you have a memory card on the phone? get a card reader.
plug the card into your pc, and copy some songs into the memory card then go to the phone and listen to them with your media player.
To copy music files to the card.
First you need to find some music files on your computer, where have you stored your music? my music folder? find them. Select a few with your mouse, right click and select Copy, make sure they are wmv, mp3 or wav. if your not sure, nevermind just copy them.
Now go to my computer, find the card from there, possibly removeable storage. double click to open the storage.
on the top toolbar, where it says file, edit, view, favorites etc. select edit and then paste. now the files should be on the card.
plug the memory card into the phone, open the media player and try to play the songs from the memory card.

Did you install the device driver for LG?
your Media Player must be 11 or higher version.
or you may use V Cast Music Manager
& HERE
you must try V CAST to sync music to your phone.
better to format the card using your phone.

U have to follow this process.
Install Any USB drivers which are needed for your cable. Then connect your phone to the PC. Open Windows Media Player and click on the sync tab in Windows Media Player. Now on your phone hit MENU->Get It Now->Option 1 Music and Tones->6 Sync Music and the phone should show up under the devices in Windows Media Player. Now add the songs you want transfered to the sync side of Windows Media Player. Click Sync in Windows Media Player. and finally enjoy your music.

I downloaded the driver and my computer recognizes the device but it won't sync with my phone, I don't know if Media player is compatible with my phone or what?
I don't know how to copy the songs onto the memory card I plug the card into the adapter and then put it in the MMC/SD slot on my PC and nothing happens, there is no new removable driver icon under my computer...someone said something about formating the disk to my phone..
Uumm i feel super dumb asking this, but how do I get to the settings and tools menu, I assumed it was on the start bar menu..
where is the settings and tools menu for USB auto detection?????"
Thanks for all the suggestions but I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET TO THE SETTINGS MENU ON MY PC! I go to my start menu and there is no settings menu what do I do to get there?
I did the dragging and dropping onto the card, then I inserted the card into the phone and I push music and it says My Music contains no songs to play, sooooo I am about to give up and go get a friggin Ipod but I probably won't know how to work that either....
I've downloaded the driver, I've tried the dragging and dropping with the memory card and adapter. For some reason when I reinsert the card into the phone it's not reading the music files because it keeps telling me My Music contains no songs to play. Someone said something about formating the card but I don't know how to do that either.
One way you could do it is to buy a memory card (probably a micro SD card) and an adapter to a USB insert. Plug that into your computer.
Copy and/or move the MP3's to that memory card. Then put the memory card in the phone. It'll play the music and not even use your phone memory, plus it'll hold a lot more music.
