I can find no info on this subject, there is a AC adapter available through Amazon

Quantaray makes lenses with many different mounts. If the lens has a Canon EF mount then it will fit your camera. If it has another mount, Nikon for example, then it will not fit your camera.

It depends on the lens mount on the lens itself. Each camera maker uses a different mounting system. In some cases, a camera shop can change the mount on a third party lens like a Quantaray.

If you happen to know the camera that the Quantaray was initially used on, that helps answer your question. A Nikon will not fit on a Canon, will not fit on a Pentax, will not fit on a Sony, etc, etc.

You should be able to. The Quantaray is a motor drive focus inside the lens and the D200 is a external motor drive. So yes you should. Put it on and see if the auto focus works.

Yes, the Quantaray Autofocus lens will focus automatically on the D80.

I also broke the base of my Quantaray QBSZ 370 where it fits the hot shoe. I can not even find a contact to Quantaray.

That's good info. The trouble is that Quantaray makes lenses for different bodies. Your lens could be made for Minolta, Nikon, Canon or other. You may be able to find a universal adapter but first you need to know what mount that lens was originally made for. I recommend either taking the lens to a camera store or calling Quantaray to see if they can look up the mount using the serial number.

It seems to be a connection issue between the Lens and the Camera body. Perhaps the mount is not true to the body Ask Pentax about this their Technical Support Team
