Joystick control for prince of persia 2 thrones on pc

I am considering buying prince of persia two thrones for my pc. i have played and completed sands of time on my xbox and warrior within on the game cube ,both had joypads which made the experience enjoyable and memorable. what i am wondering is that is this game compatiable with joystick control?and would i experience any difficulties because its pc based in getting the best out of the game??thank you zak smith
