The Mitsubishi WS-55513 55 in. seems to work fine, but the picture is
to large for the screen. The heads of the people are cut off and the
football scores at the top and bottom are cut off.
    All the available
display formats work from the remote. I have the t.v. set to standard setting and. I
am using the outside digital antenna input. Changing it to zoom or some the other setting makes it bigger. Is there a code you have to enter into the set up menu to change the setting of the size of the screen? Hope you can help.

Thanks again for trying. I do believe the whole picture is to large and even the sides are also cut off from the way it looks by looking at other t.v. You can see lettering and such cut in half. I have been in the video part but did not find a way to change anything. Set up the colors and the advanced convergence setting. Hate to bother you but is there a way I can run through the (image convergence utility available in the Video adjustment utility)?- I have not found anything that changes the video. I have not tried the factory default setting because i thought it may change all my color setting and the advanced setting.

Change your Display Format (widescreen mode) . You're using ZOOM. Press FORMAT on the TV remote control to cycle through the available display formats.

I appreciate your clear description of the problem with associated details that you felt might be relevant. This is surprisingly rare on this site, and as a result it is often difficult to offer others any advice. As you clearly made an effort, I wanted to help. I pulled the owner's manual from the Mitsubishi website (made possible b/c you included a model number) and perused it thoroughly. Originally, I thought for sure that you had it in ZOOM mode, as that would create the effect exactly as you described, but you made it clear that isn't the case. I could not find anything else that may cause the oversized image. It's not a sure bet, but my next step would probably be to run through the image convergence utility available in the Video adjustment utility. I'm sorry I can't be of more assistance today.

Most likely you have picture tube coolant leakage on the power board. Have an authorized Mitsubishi service shop take a close look.
