I needed tp change the password for my dlink DIR - 615 router and i had held the reset button to restore it to its factory settings since I could not access the admin dlink panel without the correct password and now that it is up and running again i can not get the internet light to stop flashing orange/amber to connect to the internet on all devices i wish to connect to the net with which is one other laptop currently i am using a tethered connection to a desktop which is for some reason giving me an internet connection,
Do you have the Internet connected to the Internet port in the back of the DLINK? You will have to configure the DLINK for internet access. Open a web browser to your DLINK and check on the configuration under internet-setup. Select the type of internet connection you have i.e. DHCP, PPPoE, Static, etc. Once that is set up, you should have access to the internet like before.
Well I have tried all forms of setting up the router all over again and yet still nothing seems to have changed ive got the security set up as well as the wireless ive used the wizards to set them up I have even tried manually setting them up and still nothing.
all cords are in there corrisponding spots
You mention that you have internet when you tethered to the desktop PC, is that still the case?

hi. with regards to your concern. there is a possibility that the wireless network adapter driver is corrupted.. try uninstalling the driver for your wireless adapter and reinstall again. once setup is done, view the available wireless connection and connect.. it will ask u the password if there is..then it will connect. if this solution dont work.. try to check your wireless settings, maybe there is a problem on the settings..

I have had multiple problems with these routers. They tend to drop signals or have other issues that are hard to explain in a few short sentences.
After you rebooted did you open your browser and type in the IP address to connect to the router software?

To reset the D-Link back to the default settings, Press and hold the RESET button and then power up the D-Link. Hold the RESET button for 5 secs until the LEDs flash.
Now you can enter the default login & password.
