A few things you need. Publisher will FTP to your web site ? ?
Who's hosting your site... not your name. If Register.com is your hosting company, you need to check out the settings needed to put into Publisher to FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to your site and the correct name of the main web folder like public_html . You need the login name and password to your web page.

If you are using dreamweaver then dreamweaver will do all of that for you - if not then use notepad and when you save it as a txt file close down notepad and ensure that you have file extensions showing ( my computer --> tools --> folder options --> view

hide extensions for known file types ( untick the checkbox ) and apply as per below

I have a similar problem: Files were created in Publisher 2003. Then I had to reformat the hard drive and re-install Publisher 2003. Now I can't open any of my previous files even though created by the same program because "Publisher can not open files from a different version." Very frustrating. I hope someone has a solution.
