How do I open it up to look for a blown fuse to circuit breaker?

When you remove the front control panel you will see the two fuses in the next internal section. Below are instructions for removing control panel:

You can do this without removing unit from wall. First unplug unit. Next remove the two screws on the top of the unit closest to the front. These screws simply keep the up facing vent in place. Next slide the vent to the left (plastic latches on bottom hold in place) to allow vent to be removed. You should now see a single screw above the control panel. Remove it then open the microwave door. Gently slide the control panel up which will disengage the plastic latches on the panel sides. Suggest if you are going to remove the controller and replace take a picture before removing it so you know exactly how to reconnect all the wires.

We have magic chef Over the Range Microwave Oven Model: MCO153U. Microwave was dead and no power

The original problem, was probably caused by a bad door switch along with the fuse, now there is a good chance the control panel is damaged, you will need a professional to assess if the item is worth fixing.

Panel problem

Hello

Unplug the microwave from the wall outlet prior to disassembling.

Open the microwave door. Remove the screws securing the grill above the door opening to the microwave. Remove the grill.

Remove the screw located at the top of the control panel, which is now visible with the grill removed.

Lift the control panel up to release the tabs securing it in place. Move it away from the microwave.

Look at the rear of the control panel to any disconnected wires that may have caused the control panel to stop functioning. If wires are disconnected, reconnect them, reassemble the microwave and determine if the problem is still occurring. If the problem still occurs, replace the control panel.

Transfer the wires from the old control panel to the new control panel.

Move the panel back against the microwave's control panel housing. Slide it down to lock it into position.

Install the screw at the top of the control panel.

Replace the grill on the top of the microwave. Secure it using the screws that were removed.

Restore power to the microwave.

Panasonic - convection/microwave oven door is stuck shut spring will not open same -dinner in oven help

What usually breaks is the door open lever.

On a counter top model, the outer cover will need to be removed to diagnose and repair this. On an over-the-range model, only the control panel needs to be
removed.

Please unplug the oven first.

If you or someone you know wants to look into this, we have critical safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.

Once it is apart, you'll be able to see how the door open button would press against the door open lever, which would then lift up against the door latch heads (hook-like projections on the door) and the door should open.

You can order Panasonic parts here.

How to open the control panel to troubleshoot no power failure condition?

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

We have critical safety information and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.

At our site, we now have a video available showing how to remove a typical control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

Feel free to contact me directly.

Oven stops after a few seconds

I like the information you give.
If the unit will work with the control Panel at a 45 degree angle it tells me you have a loose connection. The 45 degree angle puts enough pressure on the connection to keep it completed. With the Control Panel in it's normal position, the loose connection Heats and Opens the connection. After it cools connection is again made until it Heats up again. Remember Expansion, Contraction. I do not believe you have a Magnetron issue!! A Magnetron does not know if the Control Panel is at an angle.
Can you hear a slight "Click" when the unit shuts down? If so this is a relay opening. When you say you replaced the Control Board. Was this the Control Panel PC Board, or was it the Cook-Relay Control Board? A Door Switch not making solid contact can do this. Is your Door latching down solid? Check for loose connections, not open LOOSE.

Cannot open the door Dacor Model DMO24S

You will need to remove the outer wrapper, then separate the control panel from the microwave by removing the screw and then lifting the panel up and away. If you disconnect any wires, be sure to mark them, make a diagram or take photos first so you get them all back exactly where they were. The attached photo shows the area where two locking tabs are located. They must be gently pushed in to allow the door open button and spring to be removed. The door open button is part # 86778 (if your oven is black or stainless, part # 86778 if your color is arctic) and it can be obtained from a Dacor distributor such as http://www.apdepot.com This should be the same as a Sharp model R330BK (black model) and you can order that door open button from Tritronics. It is part # JBTN-B088WRF0 and they are at http://www.wehaveparts.com
