Yes you can use an indoor antenna. Just make sure it is an HD antenna to get the digital channels clearly. You will have to do a scan to pick up local channels. In the TV menu, it will ask you if you want to scan for "cable" channels or "antenna" channels. You want to choose antenna.

How do i get local digital channels

The HDTV tuner in the set must be of proper spec for your area. This is the start. At the rear you should have an RF connector. You will need to connect an HD type TV antenna. There are indoor TV antennas available. These work okay if the signals are strong enough. It is best to use an outdoor and mount it on the top of a building in order to have proper line of sight reception.

If you are sure your can meet the requirement with your TV and location to receive local TV stations then go in to the menu of the TV set and let it do the auto setup to receive local TV signals. Depending on the are for where the set was sold, there should be some prompts to satisfy about the type of signals that will be received. Once set, let it do the auto setup. This can take a fair number of minutes.

Turns on to olevia screen but then just flashes the olevia logo

Just check the input connection. Check it connected with external antenna. Check its input selection. Refer the user manual for details.

How do you autoscan the olevia 232 t lcd hdtv? I connected an antenna and using a uneversal remote. it just sits there displaying 'no signal'

In the remote, select the input as antenna. It might be now lying as some other input. Normally the TV itself searches for channels. If it is not, go to menu in the remote control, select install-auto and press ok.

I just purchased an amplified indoor HDTV Antenna to better receive HD tv. Is the LCD display supposed to be on all the time??? How can I get better reception from a broken picture even rotating the...

I don't know in what area you live & therefore how strong your reception area will be, but as a general rule an indoor antenna is never the best type of aerial to have to receive digital signals, you will always find that you pick up some good strong channels but more often the rest of the channels will be poor or non-existant & will constantly break-up/freeze etc. The best advice would be to try & fit an outdoor antenna if possible.

Indoor antenna problem with Magnavox LCD TV Model 15MF605T/17

I have found most of these indoor antennae to be ineffective and a waste of money, however, I do not know anything about this particular antennae. I to have a Dish DTVpal, which I love! It's ugly and probably won't fit in your kitchen, but the best solution is to make your own "bow-tie" antennae, mount it indoors or on the roof and run a cable to the kitchen. Directions can be found on You-Tube. I live in SE Idaho (Pocatello) and can get 13 channels, most without having to adjust the antennae.
