I get the fuser error. I have turned it off, left it off for months. I have plugged directly into the wall. I have followed all instructions per HP. Has anybody else fixed this problem?

Replace fuser assembly is the fix
Normal consumable, the lamp electrics (lamp, thermistor) will have blown.

SOURCE: 50.4 fuser error
This fuser error can lead up to a series of solutions, and I will list them in order of easiest to hardest.
1) Unplug your printer from the wall, wait 5 minutes and plug it directly into the wall, UPS battery backups and Surge Protectors can trigger this type of error.
2) If you have another one of these printers, try swapping the fuser roller with another one while the power is off and see if the error persists upon startup.
3) Last and least desirable, you may have a failed Engine Controller Board, which is responsible for among many things, making sure the fuser is at the proper temperature and has no tears. Be aware that this repair requires a pretty serious disassembly, and can be daunting to a newcomer.
The fuser is actually considered a part replaced with routine maintenance, around every 100,000 to 150,000 pages. It is what is responsible for the carrying the charged toner particles and heating them up to melt them onto the target paper (New HP Laserjets use a wax based toner for better environmental impact) Problems with the fuser generally show themselves as lines or splitting images on printed paper, but if serious enough (as in a tear on the roller) can cause the printer to cease printing to prevent serious damage to the interior of the machine.
SOURCE: 50.9 FUSER ERROR
The fuser is the part that melts the toner onto the page, the error is thrown by a sensor which monitors the fuser, powering off unplugging and waiting for the fuser to cool (about 25 minutes, dont test it by touching it) before turning back on the printer will fully reset the sensor and may get you going again however this wont fix a fault with the fuser. However the fuser is a consumable which means they can be purchased and fitted by the end user (Not cheap parts), I always recommend that you users buy from the manufacture as they will stand over any item they sell you plus advise on instalation and problems however check prices on-line first and make your own call

50.7 means that the photo sensor ps6 detected no movement
Open the side of the printer power on the printer and check if the fuser motor moves forward and back. If it does the problem is with the movement sensor or feedback circuitry. If it doesn't its the motor, gear system jamming, motor driver or power supply pcb.
