With power supply cable plugged into the monitor and then turned on, there is no light (that is, black, not even amber or green) indicated on the LED power indicator at the bottom right panel. Normally it will show either amber or green. But this time the screen remains black. I opened it up and accessed the power supply board. With the cable connecting the output pins of the power supply board to the input pins of the microprocessor board disconnected, I multimeter tested the voltage of the PSboard output pins with the power turned on. Both the 12-V pins tested to have +15V DC voltage. And both the 5-V pins tested to have +5V DC. Does that mean that there is no problem with the board? Checked the capacitors on the PS board. Two of them showed slight bulge and not split open. But then again, since there is output DC voltages, it couldnt be these capacitors's fault, right? With that cable connected back, I now tested the output voltage pins of the microprocessor board supplying power to the 5 switch buttons & LED light power indicator on the side panel. I found that the pins are having neglible DC voltage (like 0.07V or 0.16V). Does that mean the microprocessor board is the fault here, having not enough volts to supply to the LED light power indicator? What is the cause of the no power? Anyone has a solution?

Through my past experience I mwould remove the solder point at the input power B+ line to primary winding FBT. If the HOT has shorted there will be no power.Straight to the point if you know where the HOT is , you can desolder the middle pin or collector of the HOT transistor. If you desolder the pin which result the power led light turn up. That indicates either FBT or HOT has shorted

Actually i haven't fixed the problem as yet but i did find some info that would help me to fix problem.
I went to google and entered keyword,,, Electronic parts,,there came up a page,,and i went to several manuf sites till i found a replacement transformer,,then i disassembled the power supply and am now waiting for a replacement transformer.

> insufficient voltage cause ?
Well, anything is possible, but other things are more likely:
1. loose connections of the "data" cable between the monitor and the computer's video-card;
2. an electrical "short" in the data-cable;
3. a "dying" video-card.
So, try the "free" stuff first:
Check the connections.
Try a different cable.
Try connecting the monitor to a different computer (laptop?).
Try connecting a different monitor to your computer's video-card.
Then, consider buying & installing a new video-card.

it's prb.. your video card not the moniter if a moniter goes from green to yellow " standby" it's prb the computer not the moniter
