Have you tried another power receptacle? There is only a motor.

If after trying another wall outlet, you still have no power to the turntable you may want to check inside the unit. Make sure the cord is not plugged into an outlet when you do this.

I am assuming that you have the Technics SL-1200 turntable.

Take the bottom off the turntable by removing the many screws in the bottom while the turntable is placed on a table upside down in front of you. After getting all those screws out, you will be able to just lift the bottom piece right up and off of the turntable. This turntable has several circuit boards in it. Look at the board that the A/C cord goes into and there should be a glass fuse on it. It is a small board with a couple of wires going to it and also a switch that comes from the blue, brown and red wires on that board. The glass fuse could be blown, if so replace it. If the fuse is good, you may need to check the switch or the power transformer. The transformer has 2 red wires going to it from that same board.

Let me know if you need to check the switch and transformer. If so, I will try to help you but you will need a multimeter and know how to use it.

No! I meant trying another wall outlet. If you do not have a meter to check the power then try another plug. The motor will usually have some hum or noise if there is power to the motor. Steve

Also moving the arm over the record will tell if it is a switch problem within the player mechanism -if it spins when you do that.

I am an electrician/electronics tech also but you are my only eyes and ears, lol. Don't change any cables if you are not qualified to safely do so. Please post what you find/see/hear. Steve

My powerbass 150 amp was running perfectly one day, shut it off by the rockerswitch on the back to go to bed. Got up next morning, turned it on by the rockerswitch and no sound anymore, after about 5...

The problem with amps is they generate lots of heat when they are working and semi-conductors don't like heat, so overtime they fail. In your case either somekind of protection circuit has stopped an overload or one of the main semi-conductors that does the work has failed. It's off to the repair shop with it!

Phone says "out of range"

I'd try pulling the battery on the phone that is out of range and letting it sit for a couple of days. Then plug the battery back in and see if the phone activates. If nothing happens then try putting it back in the charger. My guess is if it's been sitting in the charger the whole time, the battery developed a memory and thinks it's dead.

Yep. Unplug for 20 minutes or longer officially. If it doesn't work, your serial number may still put you in warranty. They have a longer warranty period than anyone.
