Cant use the garmin 350 while charging

Either charging in the car or out, the nav system wont work while it is charging. a rechagre screen come on as long as it is plugged in and charging. so it just wont work while connected to a charge. youhave to unplug it to work

    I have the same problem - once you plug it into the car charger, a "charging" screen comes on and you can't use it anymore. Kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? I would love to know if there is a solution to this

    same same even software update did not solve yet.

    tried the solution listed unplug untill garmin connected to computer picture goes away, pluged it back in, and then the little picture comes back

    I need more info. When you plug in the charger, what do you see on the screen? A PC icon? Do you see a yellow lightning bolt over the battery status icon?

The solution is really easy. Works in the car or usb charger or whatever.
Once you insert the car charger, wait till the pc connection picture comes.
Than unplug the car charger.
Re-insert it as soon as the picture goes off.
Voila. It is ready to use now!

I dont know if it the touch or not, if u turn it on and cant see nothing u need an LCD screen
If its the touch screen u need a Digitizer.

Garmin 350 cannot charge and nav at the same time
Your battery is faulty. Did it come with an AC Charger? Ac chargers do a better job than the car Dc which really only manages to maintain a reasonable level of input. i suspect your internal batter is critical and either needs a thorough charge or replacement

Alpine IVA-D310-navigation option?
The nav feature is purchased separatly with the deck, the previous owner did not purchase it because at the time alpine was charging an extra $1000 on top of the price of the deck to add nav. This is due to the fact that alpine decided to use there own reasearch and development team to design a nav system where as kenwood baught the rights to use garmin's technology and put there name on it which they only charge $400 on top of the price of head unit to add nav.

I formatted garmin nuvi 205
You have not only erased all of your maps but you have also erased all of the internal software that was a part of your Garmin. I do not recall seeing anything on the web site that resolves your issue. If you can get a hold of another 205 perhaps you can make an image file of its software and then transfer that over to yours.

Thanks for that, in the end I took it to a local reoair shop they fixed it in two minutes at no charge.
Don't really know what the problem was but nothing series I guees.
Incedently it is the 300 series I dont know if the mechanics are the same.

easy solution...you need to keep this plug above attach to the the Garmin 350...when charging in the car or at home ...plug the power source to the back8dac8e5.jpg. Hope this will help...i had the same problem.
