Ok, i burnt Role Models onto a DVD-R. When it was finished i took it out of the burning drive, and put it into the drive that reads discs. It worked fine there, but when i put it into my DVD player, it says Wrong Disc. I know nothing about DVD burning or computers, so i need help here, any additional details will be provided when you ask. Thanks in advance.
Check the specs on your dvd player. Not all players will read dvd-r discs. Some players will only read commercially produced dvds. Hope this helps & please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks.

Depends how old or what model your DVD player is ? When I burn DVD's with my video editing software on my computer, some disks will not play on certain older DVD players, has something to do with video codes that the DVD player has to read? My experience is that my older DVD players will not play burnt DVD's from my computer, but will play in newer DVD players ?
most of the laptop dvd drives have slower reading speed(about 2x) and writing speed(about 24x) compare to desktop pc's(about 8x and 52x respectively). ur problem might have occured if the writing speed by which the cd was burnt might not be compatible with ur dvd player. try playing dvds which were burnt using laptop dvd writers. also try changing the modes in which the dvds are burnt.
Burn your dvds in a proper way. If you burn your dvds as data dvd, it may not work on certain dvd players. Try different software or different PC to burn your dvds. Check the region code of your dvd player & the dvds burnt. They should match. You may find some region-free players.
Is your DVD drive a Combo DVD ROM and CD Read/writer? If so it cannot burn DVD only reads DVDs and read and burn CDs.
If the program cannot find a DVD burner then either the burning software cannot support that model DVD burner ot the DVD burner is faulty.
To test the DVD burner, remove it and install it into another computer to test the burner to see if is faulty.
The actual dvd were also burned somewhere, did you burn your stuff correctly, try playing those cd on another computer.
CLEAN, WASH YOUR DVDs CAREFULLY DON'T DESTROY THEM.
It doesn't look like your dvd drive is faulty.
Please feel free to ask me for further information.
www.ashampoo.com go to this site and download and install this burning program and try it, un install the other burning program first, let me know how it went
Please note that the formats of DVD and CD are quite different. Whereas a DVD drive can handle both DVD and CD, a CD drive can only handle cd formats. Furthermore, a drive that reads both formats does not necessarily mean it can handle the writing aspect ok. You need a drive that is capable of writing/burning DVD. Most drives that come along with pcs can only write CDs but able to read both. So check your drive to see whether or not it can write on DVDs ok. Good luck
My Optorite DD0405 will not burn a DVD+R DL disk? is this because its not supported by the burner? I have Nero 9 and would like to burn 4.8 GB of a file from my desk top to a DVD DL with 8.5 GB space. How can I do this Thank You
