Panasonic handset, KX-TG5632 buttons won't work

The handset from our base unit is fully charged and the display works fine. But, none of the buttons work, so it can't be used to make a call. If it is on the base and a call comes in, we can pick it up to answer okay, but have to hang it up again to disconnect. Any ideas? Thanks.

After trying all possible solutions (unplugging, replugging unit; switching batteries and, my idea of smacking the handset with my hand), I bought a new phone. :-)

I have the below-mentioned problem with my Panasonic Cordless model KX-TG3531BX No link to base. Move closer to base, try again. Please contact me on 9879590311 or email me at [email protected]

place all handsets in the base unit for about 1 minute each. This links the handsets to the base. Sometimes the handsets lose their link to the base unit. If this doesn't work try to call Panasonic tech support for further information, the phones could be defective as well.

Top row of buttons don't work

Well, I found the solution. I traded batteries from one the working handset to the non-working one, and the problem was corrected. Thus I need a new battery.

Adding handset to Panasonic KX-TGA542M phone. ? how to ?

I ordered a new kx-tg560m handset for my kx-tg5632 base unit, but the enclosed instructions for registering it with the base unit were wrong. Fortunately, I found the old quick setup guide in my files.

If you do not have the same base unit and handset, go to the URL:
http://www.panaxonic.com/RegisterYourHandset.

1. On the handset, press [MENU], then press [0][0]. The handset displays "Refer to manual to prepare base. Then press OK->"
2. On the base unit, press [SELECT] until the desired extension number [H1, H2, H3, or H4] is displayed on the base unit, then press and hold [CALL] until the CHARGE indicator flashes.
3. On the handset, press the [OK] softkey.

When the handset is off and sitting in the charger, the handset's extension is displayed in the upper right corner.

Installing a new base unit

You will need to press the page/locator button and hold it down until the charge light flashes. Once you do this, go to the handset and push OK. It should register as handset 4. Hope that helps. CG
