Make sure that you are using the correct angle nails and head type,,,some use clipped head , others full head,,,others offset full head

Paslode F16 finish nailer will not return to start position after firing. Need to pull it back.

You may have to disassemble it BUT it may be that the mechanism and sliding parts are dry and stuck with glue from nails etc so may also work to apply a rust solvent to the sliding parts and let it sit and work the nailer a bit etc.

Paslode im65 fires one nail then piston does not return to tdc any India why

1 possible answer is a brad nail jammed in nose area. When gun is fired driver blade rides over the stuck head but there is not enough power in the suction to pull the piston back. Lift the nose catch and look for a trapped brad, quite often it is only the head you will see. Another possibility is a loose or damaged baffle assy. Be awry of unscrewing the baffle assy if the screws are tight as it is possible the screws may shear. I find heating the area around the screws helps as it softens the threadlock that is applied to the screws in manufacture. Make sure the sleeve is clean and that the piston rings are not trapped.

Firing pin keeps jamming everytime i fire the gun everything else seems to be in working order would appreciate some assitance on this matter

check for a jammed nail in the nose area and also check for the nose itself and or the driver blade being bent. Also when was the last time tool was cleaned and serviced, that might have some impact on usage.

A nail got jammed and was cleared. Now the gun won't fire.

Hi,

Here is a tip that I wrote about the Paslode nailers and the problems that can come up with them.

I also have a link to the Paslode manuals which contain Paslode cleaning and troubleshooting guides.

If you need parts for your Paslode, there also is a link for a site that sells the Paslode nailer parts.

Paslode nail guns won't shoot

piston is probably jammed

This happens sometimes try holding it up against a board with the trigger depressed and then inset the battery.

The goal is to try to force the firing sequence to get the piston back to the right position with corded units this is simply done by attaching the air hose with the trigger pulled this causes air to rush into the gun chamber pushing the piston back and firing a nail out.

The cause of this is a misfire or jammed nail that stopped the piston in the wrong location so air will not build in the chamber correctly.

Hope that helps

My paslode nail gun gets jammed and does not fire

you need to clean the piston and make sure it is free of debris with a degreaser and then relube it lightly and it should work properly

Nail comes out another hole

are you using the right nails and are they inserted properly if this is an angle gun? Also look for a jammed nail that might be causing this. look at the magazine bolts to make sure they are tight. You can go to Paslode.com for the owners manual and troubleshooting guide.
