I plug the charger into my daughters Nintendo DS and the orange light flashes on then goes straight off again. I left it plugged in for about an hour as I thought, even without the light on, it may charge but it is totally dead. Can anyone help please?
I would suggest trying to find what the issue is, if you know anyone who has a different charger, try it on your daughter's ds. if it still doesn't work, it's a DS problem...if it's under warranty, go to whatever store you bought it at and have them fix or replace it. If you try the different charger and it DOES work, then the only problem is the charger...so then all you have to do is go buy a new charger...hope this helps.

Thank you for your comments. Ill find someone with a charger and give it a go! I didnt even consider that it might be the charger!
I have charged the unit over night. The red light never chaages to green. When I flip open the unit to power on it just flashes off.
Tried different chargers and different battery to no avail.
The orange light comes up briefly and then dies out.
Nintendo does not turn on.
