Check the inline fuse in the bike's tender harness. That may be the problem.

Use a volage meter to check for power to the battery tender. Is it plugged into a GFCI and check to make sure it is reset. If you have power to the battery tender but nothing out then it may be time to buy a new one.

Battery tender

No, you must install the pigtail that came with your Battery Tender, or buy one to install. Check under the seat, though, before you buy a harness, as some dealerships install them at new bike set up. Good luck!

Storing 2006 HD 1200 XL Custom for the winter. I have it hooked up to battery tender. Periodically I will take it off the tender when indicator light turns green, indicating battery is fully charged. ...

yes, the charge will bleed off just a bit in two or three days, just enough to reset the battery tender. it shouldn't take but a few minutes before the battery is again "topped off" and the green light comes on. But keep in mind that even with a battery tender, age will eventually get to your battery and it'll go bad. The battery tender extends the life of a battery but it can't extend it forever.

Where is the connector for the battery tender on a Harley Davidson 2008 FLHX (Streetglide)?

You have to put the connector on the battery. When you purchase the Battery tender, it comes with a "pig tail". You put the pig tail on the battery and run it to an inconspicous place. When you finish your ride, plug the battery tender in. Now, if you bought a bike with the tender already on it. Look closely around the edge of the seat for the connector. If you can't find it, you'll have to access the battery and follow the wires to the connector end.

Good Luck

Battery keeps losing juice and constantly having to bump start or jump bike. before lo jack was constantly on. was disconnected but still not having enough juice to start

The battery has probably gone bad. Install new battery with battery tender leads. Keep battery tender plugged in when bike not in use.

How do I remove the battery for the winter months?

Most people use what is called a Battery tender... which is just a fancy way of saying low amp (2Amp) battery charger...
Buy one , and hook up the quick connect harness provided... plug it in... and you are good to go... It is said that use of this battery tender system extends the life of the battery by as much as 100% ( double the life expectency !!).

so , dont remove it... Tend it...
For storing your bike in an are without electrical outlets... use the solar battery tender !

I have a Battery Tender 12v 1.25a battery

remember secondary voltage is AC like the primary voltage, only its reduced typically 120vac primary and 12 or 18vac secondary then the ac secondary is rectified using a bridge rectifier to get the 12vdc then a filter circuit is applied to remove any electrical noise.. any way the problem is with the dc voltage side of the circuit and unless you know how to troubleshoot the circuit you will not be able to repair it. my experience says it might be a bad bridge rectifier.

Hook up the battery tender for the K1100 LT

The battery tender I have installed on my 2006 Street Glide is wired directly to the battery + & - post and has a guick connector that you can plug the charging unit into when needed. Mine was purchased from the Harley Davidson Dealer for around $35.00 No need to remove seat or anything after the installation.
