I bought a house with one of these boxes. Since the house was in foreclosure I can't find the owner and I don't have the access code to open it.

On Simon panels, the master code should default to 1234 if it's been powered down for several hours (I can't remember how long, at least four hours, possibly 12-16). So, unplug it from the wall and disconnect the system battery and leave it for the night. Power it up by plugging in the battery first and plug it into the wall. Then enter the code as 1234. It should annouce that the alarm system is disarmed. If so, your code is 1234. ;)
When removing the battery, be very careful to not break the little tab that holds it shut! Can't stress that enough.

Depending on how option 54 is set the default master codes are 123456, 12345, 1234 or 123. The default Utility codes (1-Dealer, and 2-Installer) are 654321, 54321, 4321 or 321. If you get any of these to work, you can follow these steps to reset the memory to factory defaults:

Normally the default codes are either 4321,or 1234.
If those don't work you should try a reset by. first unplugging the red wire behind the system and unplugging the ac adapter. Then you press at the same time the "cancel button" "clock set button" and the "minute plus button" while plugging it in. After that the code should be either 4321, or 1234.
