All I can say is check the paper Jam sensor for particles of paper that it is sensing as a jam.

if using a surge protector, remove it. Then turn off and back on. Has memory been added to your printer?

optical unit is defective: Reconnect the connectors of the laser driver pca (j501) and the dc controller pca (j108, j109). If the problem is not solved replace the product. Per the service manual

If the system is unable to detect the printer, it will put the printer in offline mode. In this condition you won't get any print outs..
1. chk usb cable
2. un plug the usb cable, un install the drivers, plug the usb cable & chk new hard ware found?.. if not there is usb port issue, chk system usb port/s are working or not.. if yes
3. Replace printer formatter assmbly...
This printer network unable printer, why cant use through network? instead of replacing the formatter assembly...

Assuming the shipping lock of all toners has been removed, your printer will typically give this error when a toner is not installed correctly or it is having trouble reading it.

I would recommend removing the toner in question, resetting the printer and re-installing it firmly. If the problem remains there is likely to be a genuine faulty with the toner. In which case, contact your retailer to obtain a replacement.

You have to replace the cartridge. The chip is siliconed in.

If you look closely you will see probably the black lock is broken. Part is cheap but labor intensive.
