My pen drive is detected but cannot open (error message is cannot access)
I have the similar problem with 1 GB pendrive, the file system of pen drive was convered to raw. I tried to format after formating it showing 8GB memory.
First insert your pendrive.Now right click on my computer.Go to manage option . select disk management. From that you must select your drive letter for your pen drive.Go to Action menu near to File menu.Fromthat select all tasks and select formatting.Then again goto all tasks and select change drive letter and paths.select the drive letter and your problem is solved. thanks for asking your problem.

1. continue without solving 2. If you didn't remove the drive with the safe removal tool in the task bar ( lower right hand corner) the drive will lose it's ability to be mounted or seen by Windows and will not format. You will lose data.
opening pen drive, it shows 'please insert the disk' & it shows 0 bytes & while trying to format it shows the same message again , i am using 2 gb pendrive of trancend.
Change your window yaar....its getting file crupte in windows library..........ok
I was also in tht problem.If this problem is arrive in more than 3 systems tht means ur pendrives starting sector is got damage thts called bed sector.
My 2gb hp pen drive showing please insert drive error. Also property showing free space 0 bytes. Please send me hp recovery tool or any equivalent tool to solve the same problem
ic, maybe the usb port of your friend's pc is defective which may cause your pen drive to malfunction, probably a shorted usb port. or just maybe your pendrive was dropped by your friend which damage the drive, it happened to me too before.
