You have to have a cd burner to be able to record FROM a tape to a CD.

A CD PLAYER WILL NOT RECORD,IT WILL ONLY PLAY A CD

The dual tape will allow you to play one tape and record to another tape.

TO RECORD FROM A TAPE ON TO A CD,YOU WILL NEED TO BUY A CD RECORDER/BURNER

THAT ALLOWS HOOKUP TO YOUR TAPE PLAYER OR HAS A BUILT IN TAPE PLAYER.

THE UNIT YOU HAVE DOES NOT HAVE CD RECORDING CAPABILITIES.

If you need more info,Please let me now.

You can get a Usb Audio/Video input device and it will allow you to hook up the stereo to the computer and you can do it that way.You will need something like this if you don't have audio/video inputs of the pc.It just plugs into a usb port.

Where can I buy a digital tv tuner to replace the analog tuner in a DVDRHD04

Generally recording machines fitted with an analogue tuner can only continue to be used to record digital tv by using a digital set-top box.
It would not be practical or economic to remove the internal analogue tuner and replace it with a digital tuner unless the person is a highly skilled and experienced repairer.

Digital set-top boxes are available from all sorts of outlets at all sorts of prices. Many surplus boxes can be found at boot sales, garage or yard sales or charity shops at very low prices.

Most boxes have the minimum of connections and often offer only a scart output but some of the older, more expensive and usually better quality boxes also contained a UHF tuner in a similar way to the old vhs recorders so even older tv sets could be used with digital even though no scart input was fitted.

How do I get free local TV over-the-air stations?

The Quasar VV-2002 only has an NTSC (analog tuner). Very few stations with NTSC transmitters are still broadcasting. Only low-power stations were allowed to continue broadcasting an analog signal. Unless you are very close to one of the transmitters, your TV will not tune in the station.

You'll need to connect the TV to a digital-to-analog over the air converter box. (The low-end ones that were free or cheap with the government coupon are harder to find; a few models are still available.) These convert the ATSC (digital) signal to NTSC. Then use an appropriate antenna and follow the instructions to tune in the available OTA signals. Send these to the TV either on the RF or composite Line-in. Set the TV to the appropriate input and use the converter box to change channels.

I hope this helps.

(20" TVs weren't required to have an ATSC tuner until 2007. Since there are reviews for the VV-2002 from 2004, it obviously is an older set.)

WILL RCA DVD/RECORDER, RECORD MOVIES FROM TV TO DVD DISC

It depends on the model and the source. The DRC212N is not a recorder, so it won't.

Depending on the model, it may or may not have a tuner. (Most modern ones are sold without any tuner. Older models may only have an analog (NTSC) tuner.) I know of one Magnovox DVR/DVD recorder that has an ATSC (digital) tuner.

If you are going to record OTA signals, you will probably need a digital to analog converter. If you are recording from a cable or satellite system set-top box, you need to set the channel on the box and then record on Line In. (Analog cable should record directly.)

Please add a comment with more information about your DVD recorder. I'll be glad to provide more assistance. I hope this helps.

Doesn't matter what order the 3.5mm are wired up in. As long as one connects to another in a daisy chain, data will jump from one to the other to give remote operation or auto source changing

Have digital TV have 3 yr old sony VHS VCR DVD player combo

A DTV converter box will take digital broadcast signals from the antenna and convert them to a format compatible with the VCR. You will be able to record programs received through the DTV box on your VCR if you could record analog over-the-air programs before the digital changeover. You can use either the RF output or the component output from the DTV box to input to the VCR.

Recording TV shows

Since it doesn't have a tuner, it will not be able to store channels - it will only record the channel that your cable or sat box is on currently
