Heat TEMP and blower problem.

At 68 degrees on "heat" cold air blows out, when I set it up to 73 degrees it's VERY hot! The problem fluctuates, as one day I had to turn it to 86 to get warm air to blow out, a few hours later had to turned it back to 73 and it was warm again. I don't know if this is related or a whole different problem but the heat only comes out the main vents on the dash. If I put it on "floor" or "defrost", it still only comes out the main vents.

Your blend doors are not working properly. There is small electric motors that move them. Shouldn't be really expensive to have fixed.

SOURCE: 2001 pt cruiser no heat

did you check the fluid level by removing the rad. cap? Radiator should be full to top. If Chryslers are low on coolant, the heater will not blow warm air.

My 2005 ford focus wont blow out heat, also it only blows cold air to the floor,

Hi,
There is likely a 'blower resistor' that is blown related to the Fan setting. The Temp setting may be due to low Coolant/Anti-freeze - WHEN the car is COLD - has not been running for 4 hours - check the coolant level - not in the overflow/reservoir - but in the radiator. Take it to a shop if you're not familiar.

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix with a digital climate control system. The heat quit working, it doesn't blow out any heat. Now that it is warm outside the air stopped blowing out any air. The digital temperature on the climate control is not correct. When it states that it is below 30 degrees on the ext and it is warm outside the air wont be cold. Once it starts going above 30 degrees the air gets colder. Today the blower stop working all together. Was told it maybe the climate control unit was bad. You can hear the door opening/shutting when you switch the temp from cold to hot. But there was no heat blowing out whatsoever in the winter time. Could you please give me your opinion on whether or not it is the climate control unit or something else?

2003 dodge durango front heater will not blow heat. but when driving heat will slowly come throught the heater vents. what should i check?

Since your blower is working and it is a heat issue, thats where we'll start,First thing is have you checked the coolant level in the radiator when engine is cold, make sure it is filled to top, next verify you have coolant in reserve ,Start your van and get it up to normal operation temperature,If your heat gauge on the dash works correctly it should be 190 degrees,Now lift the hood and locate the two heater hoses going into the heater assembly at the fire wall,Both hoses should be hot to hold on to,if both are hot and no heat inside your problem will be the blend air door in heater assembly.
if neither hose is that hot you need to replace the thermostat in the engine to get it up to 195 degrees.
if one hose is hot and one is luke warm then the heater core is blocked and to blame. hope this helps you.
