Icon looks like cell phone with question mark when on voice mail
My number keys don't work, so I can't delete or retrieve messages. I tried to call my service carrier, but again my number keys don't work so the phone system hung up on me. I checked the mode it is fine.
I did hit the delete key alot, (I have an annoying friend who talks too much) did I do something to my phone? Also, I tried to place a call while putting one on hold (for the very first time, didn't work either).
Much help needed. Mom with kid, kid neeeeeds me. Thank you.

If it doesn't, you can reset it. With the phone in standby, open the menu and select Global Setup; select VMWI Reset, then select Yes
A copy of the manual is available from Uniden;
Delete voice mail by going through the keypad on your cell phone. The actual procedure depends on the kind of cell phone that you own. For example, on the Nokia 1100, hold down the "1" key while you are on standby. Tracfone connects you to your voicemail, where you can follow spoken menu instructions to listen to your voicemail. After you hear the voice message, you're asked if you want to delete your recordings.
This is not recommended, because connecting in this way uses up your minutes even if you just want to listen to them.
Use your landline phone to delete messages if you want to avoid using your Tracfone minutes. Turn off your cell phone so it doesn't ring and then call your cell phone number from a landline.
Press the "*" (star) key as soon as you hear your voice mail greeting. Then enter your password number and press the "#" (pound) key.
Listen to the instructions for accessing your voice mail, which can vary slightly depending on the phone you have. You are told the number of new and old messages you have, how to listen to them and how to store or delete them. Press the number for listening to the message to hear it, and then the number for deleting.

This feature is country dependent and may not appear in some countries. If you have subscribed to the voicemail service from your local service provider, icon turns on when you have a new message in your mailbox. After you have accessed to all the new messages, icon will turn off automatically. If you find that the message waiting indication cannot be turned off by the network, you can still turn off the message waiting indication with your phone by the following step :
In idle mode, if voice mail waiting icon is on, long press the redial key to turn off the voice mail waiting icon. Once you choose to delete the message waiting indication, all the other handsets registered to the same base station will turn off the message waiting indication accordingly.
If you have voice mail on a land line as opposed to your cellular phone, you shouldn't have an icon on your cellular phone to retrieve any but the voice mail on your cellular account. If there is a special phone number that you call to retrieve your land line voice mail, then dial it, and enter whatever codes are required to retrieve your land line voice mail.
