This does have an internal fuse and there are probably 2 or 3 of them. They should be located right behind the timer or thermostat.

No power to oven (MCB tripped but has now been reset on) but temperature light to small oven glowing faintly. If any control is turned on then this glowing light goes out. Any Ideas?

Check the bulbs in main oven. Bulb blows and takes out circuit board. A new circuit board will set you back £250 to £300. It can possibly be repaired if you can solder. need to take out the board behind the clock and find the blown track. if you can solder a jumper across it you can get it working again and it will cost you nothing. I had to do this to mine and it has been working for last 3 years.

How do I get the ovens working if the clock works, but they do not?

You'll have to make sure that the clock has been set for Manual cooking and not inadvertently set it on Auto. However if your breaker tripped because of a fault on your oven the internal switching of the timer may have been damaged as a result of the fault.

Hotpoint oven bs43

you need to send the full model number, most likely you have a bad clock assy.even though your clock might work it comes with the clock and a computer board all together.i never heard of resetting a timer,i do know that if you unplug or shut down the power from the fuse box for 5 to 10 minutes sometimes resets the computer just like a regular house computer, it sounds like your loosing power and i don't think resetting anything is gonna help you, also make sure you have 240 volts going to the oven, but if the fan and light are not working and no heat it sounds like you have a bad clock assy.if it's in good shape and depending on the age you might want to call someone in to check it for you,if it is the clock assy. it might not be avalable anymore but there are companies that can rebuild the clock assy. you have.good luck with your oven.

SMEG DUCO4SS double oven electronic timer the bottom (main) oven does not work no light comes on and no heat but the fan does come on i have sitched the power off waited and then reset the clock

This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
  2. If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
  3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

Lights grill and fan work but oven isnt heating up

Hi there,

On our oven, we have to reset the clock before the oven will work. I think it's because of the automatic timer features.

Yours is a slightly different model, but on ours we have to press the two buttons with arrows on, at the same time as turning the clock dial. Once this is done, the oven should work again.

Good luck.

De Dietrich Oven - Clock tripping back to 00:00 means I cant turn on my oven!

its a fix more than a solution but you can bypass the clock thus allowing the oven to operate again
unplug at the mains and remove the oven from the housing remove the two fastening screws from the metal lid on the top of the oven ,and remove the lid
you will see the timer back panel with 3 wires coming to it, 2 are black (switching line) and 1 is red (Live feed to timer )
If you pull the connectors from the 2 black wires from the timer board and connect the ends together using a connector block, the timer switch becomes inactive and allows the oven functions to operate again.
you will have no timer functions but its a cheap fix and who uses the timer any way
good luck Andy B
ps if anyone has a set of operating manuals for ths oven i would be glad of a copy
