How do I know that the motherboard has been changed by repairer

The authorised Sony Ericsson repair agency(outsourced) tells me that the motherboard of my cell W610i had to be replaced . What proof do I need that this indeed is the case? Does the IMEI no. change?
Also since both motherboard and display are replaced with original Sony spares, do I get a fresh guarantee of 12 months?

Motherboard of your phone needs to be replaced if your phones lcd looks physically fine but still has issues. IMEI doesnt change, a unique individual IMEI number is created and stored on each mobile phone it cannot be changed whatsoever.

if they are an authorised SE repair agency then i would trust their judgement on your mobile phones as they are specialised/trained in knowledge and operation for you phone.

cheers.

hi baby beckz

unfortunately, sony will not repair it for free, as it is classed as physical damage. but i do suggest that you take it to an authorised sony ericsson service centre. they will charge you for the screen, but the good news is that it will bring it back into warranty conditions, so if you do have any further problems later on, warranty will cover it. If it is not done by an authorised tech, and non genuine parts are used, you automatically lose your warranty

Good luck
