well if the light stays blue , that means its still on ...what you may need to do is go to your menue and select the setup selection and then go to tuning band.....i belive it will be on page 32 of you manual, under customising the setup settings....in order for the tv to start working it needs to be able to scan for channels.....if you are useing a cable company like comcast or direct tv...depending on how you pluged it into the tv ,(like using the input 1 or 2 , s-vidio, cable , ectra,)...you need to push the input button thats on the lower right side of your remote and select the propper input area as to how you hooked up your cable box
so if you have ever had your ps3 connected to HDMI (HD cable) before, and your forgot to change it back to the normal cords that came with the game (yellow, white, and red) then you will have to connect it back up to the HDMI and go to the Display Settings and change your video output to the one that came with the ps3 (which looks like just one yellow in the settings.) then after you do that then the screen might go black if your HDMI and regular cable are on a deffirent channels, so you turn to the channel that the yellow white and red cable needs to be to, then it will show the screen and ask you if you want to leave it at this setting with this video output/cable then you say yes then your good to go.
The simple patch that I found (same problem) was to start by using any old monitor that I could borrow to set up my Dell Laptop.
After getting the Laptop booted on a regular monitor I right clicked on the desktop and went to properties then to the settings tab.
Here I found the dual monitor settings (#2 will usually be dis-abled by default.)
Click on #2 monitor and set the resolution to the lowest number (800 x 600 works well)
Then I clicked on "make this monitor my primary monitor"
As soon as I clicked apply the PC Windows screen appeared on the Polaroid TV screen
Earlier I had set the secondary monitor as "extend this screen to this monitor"
This also worked but I had to "drag the current screen to the right all the way off the
"borrowed monitor" until it appeared on the TV screen. The mouse pointer will be there also.
At first it took a little getting used to but in a few minutes I was up and running.
Hope this helps your situation
