If your battery is draining overnight and, you attribute it to the alarm, it could be a improperly installed starter kill relay. If the relay is wired to battery instead of ignition will do it.
The Viper 3002 is not a remote start system. It is only a security system with keyless entry. In order to remote start your vehicle with the 3002, you will need an add-on unit installed.
You can not do it yourself. You have to be licenced to use refrigerants and have the proper equipment to pull a vacuum,test and charge etc. Not a driveway job.
This is not related to having a remote or not, this is part of the security system not working as should be, and from you definition, I belive your battery is getting weak.
Did you get help? My problem is similar but not as bad. My viper550ESP no longer remotely unlocks the doors (well very, very occasionally it does). That is the only problem.
Any vehicle can have keyless entry installed as long as the car has power door locks.I would recommend the viper aftermarket keyless entry. It works very well.
