Pride Lift Chair

I read an solution you typed about a lift chair making a clicking noise under the chair but doesn't move. You mentioned to "short out the center wire" on the controller. Is that the same as "jumping out the center wire". I'm not sure what you meant. I have the same problem with our chair.

Thanks

Yes, jump, short, somehow bypass the switch and see if the chair moves. In 4 of 5 cases, I have had to replace the switch. Its the only part I carry with for "spares". Its an easy fix, and a lot cheaper than replacingt the whole hand control.

Pride Go Chair, back wheels make noise when I go forward and reverse

It may be something as simple that you have picked up a twig or a piece of litter. Lie on the floor and look underneath with a flashlight or get a young person to do it..

My mom's lift chair worked and then when she moved back to it, it doesn't.

Try going back to basics. You might need to tip the whole chair on it's side to access the parts inside the chair.
You've checked for power,Yes. You've listened for the motor, Yes. Now move to where the motor connects to the rise and fall mechanism. Work the motor and listen to where it connects to the rails that lift/lower the chair. Is it making strange noises? Clicks, Rattles, buzzing? Is it heating up? Are the rails trying to move but slipping back as the motor spins?
Some chairs only use One motor, others use Two so check both if there is two fitted.

Hi i have a pride jazzy jet 3 and i need to lift my chair using a hoist to put in the back of my car but can't find any bracket on the chair to lift it can help me please.

Contact the manufacturer of the lift for the brackets. Depending on what type of lift it is, you will either order the bracket from them or from a Pride Mobility Dealer or the lift dealer

Pride lift chair. Goes up, but will not down

There are only three wires for this. either the wire is broke, or the switch.

Chair will not go up or down

The clicking is the mechanical part of the switch, but the electrical part may still be bad. In all the chairs I have serviced, it has always been the switch. The switch itself goes for about $25 plus labor to change it, and the whole control unit retails for about $100. the best test is to take the controller apart and short out the center wire to either side and check the chair for movement.
