Adjusting to the proper color

I can not seem to get my 43 inch phillips to the proper color.I was watching a movie on my tv (transformers) and played with the picture setting and it looks yellowish. You have tint, color, brightness, sharpness. How do you get the picture to the normal setting or what looks good. HELP

Tint would be the control that will control the color balance, but this sounds like it may be deeper then that. Turn your color all the way down so that you have a black and whit picture. If the picture is still yellow then you have a problem with the blue picture tube.

Vizio tv - plays fine and in color. hooked up phillips dvd player - all connectors connected correctly. when i play the dvd, it is only in black and white . . . not color. how can i get my dvd to play...

Which input on the TV and which output on the DVD player are you using? HDMI is the best and easiest. Next is standard video plus audio (3 leads, yellow - video, red and white - audio). If you are using the component input, you can get B&W if you have the leads incorrectly connected. If you're going from component to video in, you might have the same result, I'm not certain. I hope this helps you resolve your problem. Let us know.

GE Rear Projection TV set with "3D" colors

This is a common problem that was NOT caused by watching the 3D movie! Bad solder connections on the high voltage transformer have caused a solder in fuse to blow. The transformer will have to be resoldered and the fuse replaced.

43 inch phillips projection t.v

There is no bulb or color wheel in a standard projection set. The standard projection set has convergence output IC's that correct the 3 colors around the edges of the picture. If one of these IC's burns out then one color may sag toward the center at the top. The defective convergence IC will have to be replaced and the convergence circuits realigned and that should be done by a qualified tech.
