BenQ MX511 3D Projector Logo
jack peterson Posted on Feb 04, 2013

Suddenly, benq mx511 has white pixels showing up....multiplying every day...now the projected image consists of 50% snow.

It started slowly at the top of the image and worked its way in massive dead pixel quantities over the next month, rendering the ability to watch anything impossible...the projector bulb only has 1600 hours on it. I am really upset!

It probably has the same DLP chip as my Mitsubishi television. The mirrors in the chip set get stuck and create the white spots. There is no way to fix this other than replacing the DLP chip.

SOURCE: I cannot ger the projector to project the image on the laptop. I have held down the Fn Key and F8 to no avail

possible bent pins on the cable.
possible video card death in the computer.

but, most likely one of two things can remedy your problem :
- 1 - try to reselect the source on your projector, so that it is detecting the port where your computer is plugged in. if that fails to solve the problem.........
- 2 - right-click on the desktop, and select "properties". then select "displays", then try the "advanced" tab, and mess around in there. can't tell for sure what options you will be facing at this point, since i don't know what graphics card is in your computer, nor do i know how that card is interfacing with your computer.

good luck, and i hope i was able to give you some help!!!!
(funny thing is, i was on here trying to solve a projector issue i am having, and saw your question pop up on the screen, and figured i might be able to help).

SOURCE: Flickering dots on Benq PB6200 projector.

it's not the lamp. if you've replaced the cords and still have the problem, reset the settings to factory default to make sure the resolution matches. if still not ok, there may be an issue with the main board.

I bought a 52" Polaroid for like 50$ and the

the white circles are called halos caused by technically a burn-in u either ignore or change the screens particularly the one on the inside for a new one......the halos have made a burn-in on the screen its like taking a spot light and pointing it to a surface for long the light will eventually image its circular image on the surface like a discolouration hence the snow like white balls as u call them....another suspect the optical dome glass maybe dirty u got to open the box screen chamber and use a soft cloth to clean it

Benq FP71E, No Image Displayed

Try checking the settings in properties for this device to make sure they are as you left them. YOu can also uninstall the drivers for the card and reinstall them to see if that takes care of the issue.

Thin vertical line appears on projector

I have found that vertical lines that suddenly appear from projectors are due to poorly connected cables. Sut off your projector and wait for the fan to go off. Then unplug the connectors from the computer to the projector and secure them again, making sure to go all the way. Hope this helps.

Input feed problem

I would suggest using the AV inputs instead of the coaxial input. It looks like there might be a tuner intermittent failure but using the AV inputs bypasses the tuner.
