AC/heat dual-pak unit comes on, or doesn't come on erratically. Shows the two lights on when the unit isn't on. Occasionally blows cold air when it's supposed to be heating. Is it the ther

Both are not very old, about 4 years I think. Also had a little water coming straight down out of the intake grill. Covered two little holes on each side of unit, no more water. The holes were always there, part of the design, don't know purpose. The thermostat can show 65 or lower real temp. and 67 desired temp. But it doesn't come on.

SOURCE: My upstairs heating is blowing

Question: Is your heat produced by a furnace? (If so-- what kind of fuel?)
Or is heat produced by Air Conditioning nits working in reverse-- called Heat Pumps?

If Heat Pumps, You realize that when it gets very cold outside, there is not much 'heat' out ther, to get the heat from outside temperature, right?

Sometimes the out-door coils will freeze up, and you get even less heat then--

Please tell us more-- so we can take the clues you give us, and we'll trouble shoot the problems as best we can remotely, like this-

SOURCE: American Standard AC has started blowing fuses about 1x/2days - any ideas why & is it safe to just keep replacing the fuse?

Hello, the low voltage fuse will blow if the thermostat wires are shorting togethur or ground, or if the contactor coil on the outside unit is shorting to ground.

G780 started up then shut down, no indicator lights when plugged in and will not sart up

Is the ac plug loose? If you wiggle it does the light come on and off? If that isn\'t the case and it powers up then goes right off sounds like an issue with your motherboard. If the unit is under warranty I would contact Lenovo. If the unit isn\'t under warranty you should try to blow it out with can air to get all the dust out of it to see if its a simple over heating issue. If the unit still doesn\'t post, sounds like you have a bad motherboard. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good place to find more info: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/

Just need to type in your model number which can be found on the bottom of the laptop. should be MTM:XXXX-XXX

SOLEUS KFHHP-22 - Heater doesn't blow air at all, warm or cold. Cooling works great but no heat.

Doesn't matter how hot it was when installed, there still should have been proper start up performed. That means running unit thru all cycles and checking charge. If it was installed this summer then installer should warranty service to return and complete install properly.

Ac unit isn't blowing

It sounds like your freezing up at the coil, which in turn, blocks airflow across coil and only a small amount of air comes out of the vents. This also explains the cold air coming from fan on the outside unit, since the system cannot absorb the heat from the inside of the house through the coil. Your air outside is usually blowing out warm to hot air because thats the heat it rejects out of your system. I would turn the thermostat to "OFF" and turn just the fan setting to "ON" instead of Auto, this thaws the system out faster. Give it time to fully thaw, make sure filters are clean, and check airflow. If airflow is back to normal, your problem is more than likely the charge of refrigerant. If you have to call a technician out, make sure the unit is not frozen at all before they get there, they would not be able to do anything with the system froze. Hope this helps and good luck!

Car blows warm air when idling

It sounds like your AC unit could be overheating or even damaged.

AC units have a sensor that will turn them off automatically to prevent damage from overheating. If there is an insufficient amount of air flow, the unit will heat up, and then eventually turn off.

When the car is moving, more air is forced over the unit, likely keeping it cool enough to run, however, when the car come to a stop, it loses that air flow, and quickly heats up. Thus, the AC would work while the vehicle is in motion, and overheat and stop when the car is stopped and idling.

However, the AC unit could be completely blown. The cold air while moving could be just a case of air being forced into the car. Think of a house fan, the fast the wind blows on you, the cooler it gets.... Thus, it could be an illusion that the AC is working when car is in motion, when it really isn't.

Hope this helps.

Air conditioner light inside truck comes on but blows only regular air.. not cold at all

It isn't blowing AC at all, just air. See if your compressor is turning with the belts when the system is engaged. Not just the pully but the compressor.

I have a ''GE"heat &

Look at the wires that go to the compressor and make sure they are not burned off. Inspect the capacitor tops for swelling and loose or burnt wiring. Also check the connections coming from the controls. May have a wiring problem or even a bad compressor. How old is the unit?

check power to outside unit, check if it has a fused disconnect, if you have power and no blown fuses it could be a blown capicator that starts the fan and compressor...............
