You need to contact HP to change your printer to accept the cartridges. The cartridges have their own warranty and HP should help you get them to work even if your printer is out of warranty. This page explains a little more.
Well it is nothing but to change the region of the printer. hence remove all the cartridges and remove the power supply first.
1. Hold # & 9 key on the keypad 2. Connect the power back to the printer 3. It will say NVRAM init. 4. It will ask for the Region select what you want. 5. And continue to work
You can remove the chip with help of an Sharp blade. 1. Remove it with placing the blade on the very edge of the chip 2. Be careful and do it really slow 3. Clean the compatible cartridge well (Where you are about to place the chip) 4. install the chip and press well 5. Test and it will work fine.
partial 1 unplug the power cable from behind the printer 2 press and hold # key and number 3 key 3 while holding it plug back the power cable 4 release both buttons if it doesnt go on automatically turn in the power button

make sure you've taken the protective tape off the cartrige. Usually its orange and noticeable.
Sometimes generic cartriges have a small chip and a registration that allows the printer to talk between the cartrige from what I under stand maybe ink levels and to protect profits on not allowing generic companies to make a more economical product competitively
the printer can sometimes be power cycled to allow it to accept the generic cartrige.
there are normally settings on a printer to see if you can change the internal settings can be altered to allow non Original Electronic Manufacturors products in a Canon Printer.
make sure that the type of printer you have is compatible with the printer. the computer may require a black cartridge or a color cartrige in a very specific location. they might not be allowed to be switched.
make sure the cartrige can slide in and out of it's slot comfortably.
FOR office printers. there are also protective tabs holding the ink in the cartrige. this side tab on the cartrige is there for shipping. these are normally on large 30 pound printers. top front loading Office printers. the tab needs to be turned hard and swift either clockwise or counter clockwise if you can't cleaning pull it out. Also remember your boss paid a lot for that cartrige dont break something your not comfortable breaking. be warned in advance this dry ink will spill and is hard to clean and harder to clean from clothing.
as per a fast solution a smaller printer and certainly a cartrige can actually be brought into a computer and electronics store whilst looking to buy a new print cartrige. Make sure if you do bring a piece of your own electronics into a store you check in with security. let them know its yours; wave it in front of a camera if youd like.
the seller normally should be able to recognize if their product will fit in your device it will save both of you time and inconvience.
cartriges cost about the same as a new printer with new ink.
dont be afriad to buy an extra ink at the time of purchase and risk letting it dry but having the back up that you know works-
you'll have a package for the next time you need a new cartidge. gives you more research material.
accept moores law
feel good about flossing on a new printer.
print some pictures and frame them-
pictures are some of the most important thing in our lives! Smile!
this happens when you insert fake cartridges in HP. usually i think higher products of HP dont accept fake cartridges.
Go for vivera inks. they are genuine HP inks.
or look out for pin in the cartridge area. as it may not be settled properly
