I can't see the points on the video. However, I think you are talking about dead pixels. I'm afraid dead pixels can't be repaired.

The driver board is going bad it sounds like and if you do not call up and get it fixed under warranty, as it should still be under a warranty, then its going to be a nice hefty repair bill. Good Luck Ps Please dont forget to rate this thread

Did you get this problem resoslved? I had the same issue a few months ago. I tech came by and took my TV to the shop, a few days later he said it was fixed as they needed to make some adjustments.....The TV has been fine up until a week or so ago and now the red dots have appeared again. Was wondering what happened to yours.

SOURCE: PINK SCREEN ON DAEWOO PLASMA TV

Sounds like your panel might be going out or a faulty video card. This is the first time I have heard of a solid pink screen on a plasma. Usually this happens on LCDs, though they sometimes go white and stay white, which does signal a bad panel. tv needs repair

I have this problem too. I have had a technician over to service it twice already and I picked up on a few things he did to fix it. Here is what I learned. the raining pixels has to do with the timing in the circuit boards. Basically telling them when to turn on and off. I would only recomend this solution if you are technically inclined. Remove the back from your tv on the left upper quadrant you should see a small gray dial with marks that a Philips screw driver would fit it. There are three or four of these on the boards scatter across the tv. Each on corresponds to the colors firing in sequence. Take your Philips and turn it to either extream. You should see a your screen go crazy with whatever color corresponds to the dial. Then ever so slowly turn the dial undtil you don't see any more flickering. Do that with each dial and you should be able to get rid of most of the flickering. on the right side of the there is a panel underneath the support bar with orange adjuster. I don't know what they do but they also help reduce the flickering. A word of caution. If you can use something non metallic to adjust these dials. There is a small metal lip to keep the dial from turning too far. If your screw driver touches it. It will fry the dial and your screen will blink red/yellow or blue. and you will have to buy a new board. Luckily they are only about 30 bucks, but I learned the hard way.

SOURCE: 50HP66 50 in. Plasma Television: i have red dots/shadowing on my tv...

I got the red dots really bad on my toshiba 50hp66 after an hour or two of watching tv. I found out that if you open up the tv in the back on the left you will find two adjustment pots labelled Vsc and Vy. I took a sharpie and marked where the factory defaults were first. Then I adjusted the Vy pot down a little bit and the red spots were gone! My tv looks great again!

Hello, why does my plasma tv have thousands of red and green flashing dots all over the dark parts of screen after it has been on for roughly half an hour? if i turn tv off for a while then turn back on...

I had a similar problem but mine was just red specks that showed up in dark scenes. I opened up my plasma and found the adjustment pots that are labeled Vsc, Vy. I then marked the factory default with a sharpie first. Then I lowered the Vy a little and my red specks disappeared. Now my tv looks awsome again like it was new.

Red Dots

This is know as diffusion. You will need to locate the Vs adjustment inside the TV and vary it up and down by NO MORE THAN 10 volts. If this does not correct the problem then you will need to replace the Plasma panel.

Self- reboots at start-up, then shows picture but with pink dots.

Howdy,
It sounds like you have a Power Supply Board problem. The PSB is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM811, CM812, CM817 & CS806; 1000ufd 25volts. It is the board to the left and you notice that the four cap tops are swollen.
It is easy to replace get a stanard solder pencil and you are in business.

Thanks for using FIXA, BIG IRISH.
